An extensive extended cruise circling the Australian Coast is being halted days after the tragic passing of an older lady who was abandoned by the ship on a isolated coastal location.

The passenger had been walking on Lizard Island with other travelers from the vessel, but parted ways from the excursion for a rest. The ship sailed away leaving her and returned later that day after the personnel realised the passenger was not present.

A major rescue mission discovered her person the subsequent day.

In a statement, the Chief Executive affirmed that the company was "working closely with authorities to aid their inquiry".

He mentioned that the company was "extremely apologetic that this has happened" and had extended its full support to the family.
